> Use a lipliner pencil to help
defi ne lips, add extra fullness
and prevent lipstick from feathering
(but avoid an obvious line).
> Start in middle of lips and move toward
corners, using soft strokes, and continue
lip line into corners of mouth.
> Using side of pencil tip, rather than point, fi ll
in to stain lips and give lip colour staying power.
> Choose a creamy moisturizing lipstick in a
colour complementary to your blush. “Soft
shades are more youthful than bright or darker
tones,” advises Monica Noel, Look Good Feel
Better workshop volunteer team leader at the
Vancouver Cancer Centre.
> To make lips look fuller, dab a little gloss on
centre of bottom lip.

Cancer treatment may make lips especially dry. Apply lip
balm every night just before going to bed.
Gloss adds extra moisture and shine to illuminate your
lips and face.
If your skin has a golden or yellow undertone, choose
warm shades of lip colour, such as soft corals; if your
skin has a pink undertone, opt for cooler pinks and plums.
