< DENIM ON THE SOFT SIDE Sure, you can
wear these yoga tops with their matching pants,
but why not stretch their fashion versatility
by teaming them with denim? The good
news: you don’t have to give up the
simplicity of denim when skin seeks
softness. Some of the latest fabric
treatments are making jeans feel
like butter — like these by 7 For

Comfort clothes
Achieving a relaxed, easy look is all about
fl uid lines and soft-to-the-touch fabrics. During
radiation treatment, especially, skin can become
highly sensitive. So opt for cotton, linen and
synthetics free of embellishments and ruffl es,
which can feel prickly against your collarbone and
chest. The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) offers
this advice: “Protect treatment areas from rubbing,
pressure or irritation. Cotton or silk clothing is less
irritating on the skin than harsh fabrics such as wool and
corduroy. Avoid tight clothing of any kind.” For information
about skin changes and a host of other helpful advice
around nutrition, managing pain and effects of treatment,
